1. The service

Bulk File Rename is a free, browser-based file renaming utility plus optional command snippets. All renaming runs locally in your browser; we operate no upload backend. We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.

2. Acceptable use

• Only rename files you own or are authorized to modify.
• Don't use the Service to facilitate infringement, malware distribution, or harassment.
• Don't attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it abusively, or misrepresent its output as our endorsement.

3. Your responsibility for renames

Always review the live preview and collision warnings before downloading or applying CLI commands. File operations are inherently risky — keep backups of important data. You are solely responsible for the names you apply and any consequences, including overwrites from ignoring duplicate-name warnings.

4. Intellectual property

The site's design, text, and code are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the tool and share links freely, but you may not copy the site wholesale or remove attribution. Generated filenames and CLI snippets are yours to use without restriction.

5. No warranty & liability limit

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, availability, or fitness for a purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, profits, or indirect damages arising from your use of the Service.
